A compact, evergreen Skimmia valued for glossy green foliage and dense clusters of pink-tinged buds that open to white, sweetly scented spring flowers. Excellent for containers or shaded borders, it thrives in moist but well-drained, humus-rich, preferably acid (ericaceous) soil, and performs best out of hot midday sun. A reliable, low-maintenance choice for year-round structure and spring interest in partial to full shade.
