Olea Europaea Spiral P26 150cm

Olea Europaea Spiral P26 150cm

Olea europaea is an evergreen Mediterranean tree prized for its narrow, grey-green foliage and natural tolerance of heat and dry conditions. Trained into an elegant spiral, it makes a striking architectural feature for entrances, terraces and patios. Grow in full sun and very well-drained soil (light, sandy or chalky is ideal) in a warm, sheltered spot. In the UK it is slow-growing and hardy in milder regions; protect from severe or prolonged frost, especially in containers. Small white flowers typically appear in early summer; outdoor fruiting is unreliable in cool summers. Clip lightly once or twice a year to maintain the spiral form. In the ground, mature trees can eventually exceed 5m in mild regions over many years.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
