A compact, rounded evergreen hebe with striking variegated foliage, Hebe elliptica ‘Variegata’ provides year-round interest from its cream-edged leaves and short summer flower spikes. Best in full sun to light shade and moderately fertile, well-drained soil, it is well suited to coastal and exposed sites and works well in borders or as a low informal hedge. Ultimately around 1m high and wide; trim lightly after flowering to maintain a neat shape.
