Cornus controversa Variegata C50 Multistem 175-200

Cornus controversa Variegata C50 Multistem 175-200

Cornus controversa 'Variegata' is a striking, deciduous specimen noted for its elegant, tiered branching and brightly variegated foliage. Broad, ovate leaves are green edged with creamy white, lighting up partially shaded areas, and in early summer it bears flat clusters of small white flowers held above the horizontal tiers. Grow in fertile, humus-rich, moist but well-drained soil in sun or light shade. The multistem form enhances its sculptural, architectural presence, making a superb statement for lawns, courtyards, or spacious borders. In time it becomes a large, spreading tree, typically reaching around 8–12m in height and width over many years; routine pruning is minimal, limited to removing dead or misplaced shoots during the dormant season.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
