Cercis can. Merlot

Cercis canadensis 'Merlot' is a compact, ornamental redbud valued for its dramatic, heart-shaped purple foliage and showy spring blossom. In early spring, clusters of rosy-pink, pea-like flowers appear on bare branches before the leaves, creating a striking display. The leaves emerge a rich burgundy-purple and retain strong colour through the growing season, making this an excellent small specimen for borders, patios, or lawn planting. Grow in a sunny or lightly shaded, sheltered spot with well-drained, moderately fertile soil; minimal pruning is needed, other than removing any dead or crossing shoots after flowering.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
