Acer pal. Sangokaku 175-200 cm C 65L Specim.

Acer palmatum 'Sango-kaku' is a graceful coral-bark maple prized for its bright coral-red young stems that shine in winter, and finely lobed leaves that are fresh green in summer, turning clear yellow to orange in autumn. A small to medium-sized, deciduous tree with a layered, elegant habit, it performs best in sun or light shade in fertile, moisture-retentive but well-drained, preferably slightly acidic soil, and benefits from shelter from cold, drying winds. An outstanding specimen for year-round interest, combining striking winter stem colour with vibrant autumn foliage.

To help give a clear sense of scale, the stone wall shown in our photos measures approximately 265cm in height. We also use familiar garden tools as visual references: a digging fork (110cm tall) and a hand fork (30cm tall). These are included purely as size guides to help you better judge proportions when viewing the images.
